This is the updated for 2025 Speeding Engineering induction system for the Mitsubishi Evolution 4, 5 and 6 CP9A CN9A. The system is engineered to work together to deliver the coolest densest air to your turbocharger’s delight. This is the only system engineered to take full advantage of the factory NACA potential. Our system was engineered to provide consistently cooler intake temps with an OEM+ look. We also wanted a kit that was completely reversible as these cars become collectors, so that meant using factory holes, laser scanning, and non destructive installs.
This is a complete system consisting of the following:
- WRC-Style Airbox
-
WRC-Style Airbox Lid
- Hood-mounted NACA Ram Air
- Silicone Turbo Inlet Pipe
- 6in Washable Cone Filter
- Cone Filter Pre-filter
- Fuse Box Relocation Bracket
- Stainless Steel Hardware
- Stainless Steel Clamps
- Optional MAF Delete
Each system is built to order, made in Atlanta, GA. USA. Manufacturing will take 2-3 weeks.
IMPORTANT : This system requires a remote battery relocation (trunk is ideal for this). The fuse box is then relocated to where the factory intake sits via the Fuse Box Relocation Bracket. This bracket also contains provisions for mounting t e popular Evo X battery terminal. The part numbers for this battery terminal are: OEM Evo X Wiring Joint (8571A017), OEM Evo X Joint Cover (8571A018), OEM Evo X Fuse Block (8571A019). The EVO X terminal and battery relocation kit are NOT included in this kit. For a full battery relocation kit checkout our other listing here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/335689815744
ENGINEERING:
VISCERAL:
- The system transmits the turbo noises well, so you get all the great chirps, whistles, and flutters. Rolling the passenger window down amplifies these even more.
- The underhood design blends perfectly with the factory components and looks as it if could have been factory. Following an OEM+ methodology the items are black with a finish to match under-hood components.
- All items are built to order and hand finished with a final test fit to ensure proper filament.
- As for scent and taste, well it probably smells a bit like paint and tastes like plastic, so I wouldn’t recommend interacting on those two senses.
